I forgot when I org bought this, I know it been many years. The product still works like new. I expected it to stop working from the ammount of times I been copying data back and forte.I would def buy another one in the future when I need to.
I gave this flash 5 star because of many things.1- The speed it's faster compare to others like (Kingstone, Adata, Infinity)2- The design of the flash, it's easier to use compare to others and the size.3- It has U3 which is very nice to use.4- The strength of it. I forget it twice in my small jeans pocket and washed in 45c in the washing machine, and worked perfect after that :)I still buy only Sandisk flash.
2 GB sounds like a lot, but if you want to install several programs (Browser, E-Mail Client, Office Applications, IM, etc). I got the item because I liked the idea of being able to run software without the need to haul a Laptop around all the time. AND store your personal files on the device you might find yourself running out of storage space faster than expected.Second, on many public machines the software may not run because (a) a different operating system is in place (e.g. I have to say that it really is as great as it sounds.However, I'd like to add two qualifications to that. First, if had to buy a similar item again, I'd choose at least 4GB. Sun) or (b) and actually more irritating some administrators of Windows PCs make it impossible to use the U3 system, which also includes access to your files if you enable password protection. So just because the computers where you would like to use the device run Windows doesn't mean you'll actually be able to.
I keep this thumb drive attached to my keys so you can imagine how banged up it gets. I've had some old ones that were made of plastic and they keep breaking, but this one won't break. It's been tossed around and dropped many times and is still in great condition. Excellent product for those who use their flash drives frequently.
if you don't need to transport huge files this is as good as it gets. I've had it for almost a year. it is very well built and feels solid. the transport rate is faster than most, and it even looks good with the bright blue LED.
